Kia Ora and Welcome, I am Sacha Quinn.

I love weddings and celebrating love. I specialise in creating relaxed and personalised ceremonies for couples. I am a warm and positive person who loves meeting new people. My role in your big day is to create a beautiful ceremony and take this stress off you. I know for many couples the “I dos” is the scary part. I am a calm presence who will make you feel at ease.

Let me introduce myself......

I grew up on a sheep farm in North Canterbury, this is where my love of the outdoors stems from. I then attended high school and university in Christchurch. It was while I was at The University of Canterbury studying teaching that I met my future husband. Upon graduation we moved to Auckland where I worked as a secondary school teacher for 10 years. This time helped me to develop my public speaking skills and how to command an audience (a key skill required to keep those teenagers engaged and interested). We used this time to travel; exploring Europe, Central and South America. This is a core love of mine- experiencing different cultures and exploring new places.

We married in 2015 in a ceremony overlooking the ocean as this incorporated our shared love of being on or near the water.

We had our daughter Addie in 2020 and this was a catalyst for us moving down to Papamoa. We arrived here in early 2022, to enjoy a relaxed beach life for our family. It has been the best decision we ever made.

You will find me on the weekend spending time with my family at the beach, enjoying wine and cheese with friends, walking the Pap hills, and binge watching my favorite shows.

What I offer

I know for many people when it comes to the ceremony itself that this is the scary part or even the part they just want to get through so they can celebrate with their friends and family.

That’s where I come in!

I will walk you through all aspects from providing advice and support in gaining the legal documents, to crafting your ceremony, I can write vows for you (I have many options for you to look through) or guide you as you write your own. You will gain access to all of my resources on ceremony layout, readings etc

I will run a rehearsal for you to ensure everyone feels comfortable and confident on what to do on the big day. From booking me I will be available for meetings in person, via email, phone or on facetime.

I offer a free no obligations meet and greet so you are able to decide if I am the right fit for you. (this can be done in person or over facetime) If you decide to go ahead and book me a deposit is required to secure your date.

I pride myself on really getting to know my clients so I can tailor personalised weddings to you. I am happy to facilitate a traditional ceremony or create something bespoke for you.

Services

There is a lot to think about in getting married. It can be a bit overwhelming. You want your ceremony to be ‘just right’, to reflect who you are, to go smoothly and to finish with you being legally married!

My marriage celebrant services include;

* Initial meeting to discuss your wedding.

Who are you and what is important to you both? What do you want as a part of the ceremony? Do you need ideas? What is the tone of your wedding? We chat and put together a plan that you both feel comfortable, happy and relaxed about AND that reflects your personalities and journey thus far.

* Marriage License advice. You want to ensure that you have the right documents, in good time and ready to go on the day. I instruct you on how to get the correct forms, what is required when and where.

* Full comprehensive ceremony and vows planning pack. I have a detailed document I send all couples that has a wealth of suggestions / ideas / guidance / norms and traditions that cover your wedding ceremony and vows. Within this there are wordings, readings and mini-ceremonies you can choose from and we can adapt to suit you as a couple. It’s a great place to start and will help you extensively in planning your ceremony. I will also tailor an address just for your wedding, and of course ensure everything flows nicely from start to finish.

* Further meeting or telephone conversation to go over the details and finalise the ceremony. My main concern is that you feel 100% relaxed and happy with the ceremony plan.

* Rehearsal 1 – 3 days prior. It’s great to be able to have the bridal party, father of the bride (if he is walking the bride down the aisle) and any others participating in the ceremony. Logistical matters such as how to give a bride away, timing of walking up the aisle, walking in high heels on grass, where to stand, when and how the bride and groom should hold hands, are important. By walking through the ceremony, practicing and trouble shooting these aspects you will feel a lot more relaxed on the day.

* The big day! On your wedding day I will be there half an hour beforehand to liaise with the venue contacts and personnel and help with any last minute setup. Your special ceremony will commence and the declaration will be celebrated!

* After the wedding,– I will arrange to give your signed legal marriage certificate to a responsible guest who can pass it on to you the next day (we will confirm who this is at the rehearsal) and the other copy will be emailed by me straight to the registrar of marriages. You can relax and enjoy your celebration!

Package Details

• Cost of full celebrant services including all of the above is $650

• Elopement or small weekday ceremony $500.

I am also available to M.C the whole event.

I know for many couples asking someone to take over the running of the day can be another stress. It can feel like a big ask of a guest, when you just want all of your friends and family to relax and enjoy the day. I can take this stress off you and M.C the event.

I will seamlessly move from celebrant to M.C. I will organize guests, run to your schedule, liaise with event staff, introduce speakers, facilitate games, and share stories. This is where my years as a teacher come in handy; I'm great at managing a crowd, time management is a real strength of mine and I love to share stories.

This package includes the full celebrant service mentioned above and me as the M.C. for the entire event.

I am available for ceremonies within the Papamoa, Mount Maunganui, Tauranga area. I am happy to travel further afield, there will be a cost for travel required for ceremonies outside of this area. This will be quoted at the time of enquiry.
